The Combat Boots 2 The Boardroom (CB2TB) Youth Leadership Council (YLC) is designed to develop student leaders who demonstrate integrity, respect, responsibility, and a commitment to service. All members are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively on CB2TB, their families, their schools, and their communities.
Leadership Expectations
YLC members are expected to serve as positive examples for their peers. Members should demonstrate respect, accountability, professionalism, honesty, and a willingness to work collaboratively with others. Participation in the Youth Leadership Council is a privilege, and members are expected to take their responsibilities seriously.
Zero-Tolerance Bullying Policy
CB2TB maintains a zero-tolerance policy for bullying of any kind. Bullying includes repeated or intentional behavior meant to intimidate, embarrass, threaten, isolate, or harm another person physically, verbally, socially, or emotionally. Any YLC member who engages in bullying may be removed from the program.
Cyberbullying Prohibition
Cyberbullying is strictly prohibited. This includes harmful, threatening, harassing, humiliating, or inappropriate behavior through text messages, social media, email, messaging apps, online forums, group chats, or any other digital platform. YLC members are expected to use technology responsibly and respectfully at all times.
Harassment Prohibition
Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes unwanted verbal, physical, written, or digital conduct that creates an intimidating, hostile, offensive, or uncomfortable environment for another person. Members are expected to treat all participants, mentors, staff, volunteers, and community partners with dignity and respect.
Discrimination Prohibition
YLC members may not discriminate against others based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, veteran status, socioeconomic background, or any other protected characteristic. The Youth Leadership Council is committed to maintaining an inclusive and respectful environment where all participants feel valued and supported.
Social Media Conduct Expectations
YLC members are expected to represent themselves and CB2TB responsibly on social media. Members should not post, share, comment on, or engage with content that is bullying, harassing, discriminatory, threatening, obscene, hateful, or damaging to the reputation of CB2TB, the Youth Leadership Council, or other participants. Members should also avoid sharing confidential program information, private conversations, or images of others without permission.
Consequences for Violations
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in corrective action, parent or guardian notification, suspension from activities, or removal from the Youth Leadership Council. CB2TB reserves the right to determine appropriate action based on the nature and severity of the violation.
Member Acknowledgment
By submitting this application, the applicant acknowledges that they have read, understand, and agree to follow the CB2TB Youth Leadership Council Code of Conduct. The applicant understands that participation in the program requires respectful behavior, responsible leadership, and compliance with all program expectations.
